Đorđe Kunovac (Serbian Cyrillic: Ђорђе Куновац, born 8 June 1975) is a retired professional Bosnian Serb football player and a current football manager.
Player career
Born in Trebinje, he begin playing football in the youth teams of his home-town club FK Leotar, however he was spotted there by FK Partizan who brought them to their youth team.[1] That is why he started playing as senior in the First League of FR Yugoslavia clubs FK Bečej and FK Rad. He will play with Leotar in the First League of the Republika Srpska during until 2000, before coming to Germany to play in Fortuna Düsseldorf. Afterwords, he was back to Rad and in 2002 played for Montenegrin club FK Mogren before finishing his playing career in FK Sinđelić Beograd.
Coaching career
He was coach of a Belgrade based Serbian club FK Sveti Stefan. For the season 2011-12 he was appointed as a head coach of FK Milutinac Zemun.After a few months Kunovac resigned as coash of FK Milutinac Zemun and later that year he was appointed as manager of FK Palilulac Beograd.In a season 2012-2013 he started as a head coach of a FK Zmaj Zemun,but again after few months re resigned.Second part of the season of 2012/2013 he spent again as a head coach in FK Milutinac Zemun,and also he played for the Senior team.For a season 2013/2014 he is appointed as a manager of Slovak side FK Spartak Bánovce nad Bebravou At the beginning of the 2014/2015 season he took over managing Belgrade lower league club FK Torlak from Kumodraž.FK Torlak compete's in 5th tier of Serbian football league system.In his first season as FK Torlak Manager he won the league and get promoted to to Beogradska Zona (4th tier).Also, he won 1st tournament named Trofej VOždovac. In his 2nd season at the helm of FK Torlak he won 2nd Trofej Voždovac,and later that year 4th place on the end of the first part of the season.That was a huge success for the club expected by no one.Fk Torlak style opf play was recignizable in the Belgrade at the time.Sadly,he resigned 3 rounds before end of the season due to opinion differences with the club management. Also he was considered to be one of the best coaches in the league.
