1984–85 Iraqi National League
Statistics of Iraqi League in season 1984/1985.
Overview
14 teams competed, and the league was abandoned with no champions declared due to public interest being non-existent with the league schedule conflicting with the national team's crucial World Cup qualifiers.
After the abandonment of the league, Al-Rasheed set up a tournament called the Al-Rasheed Cup containing all of the Premier League teams (except for Al-Minaa and Wahid Huzairan) as well as four lower division teams (Al-Najaf, Al-Naft, Arbil and Al-Salikh). Al-Rasheed won the tournament by beating Al-Zawraa 3–0 in the final.
