The 2005 Players Championship was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour contested from March 24–28 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. It was the 32nd Players Championship. 48-year-old Fred Funk became the tournament's oldest winner with a one-stroke victory. Because of bad weather, the tournament was completed on the Monday, March 28.
