The 2011 Batang Pinoy, officially known as the 2011 Philippine Youth Games–Batang Pinoy was hosted in Naga, Camarines Sur from December 10–13.
This edition marks the revival of the Batang Pinoy,[1] since it was put on hold in 2003 by the Philippine Sports Commission so the sports body could reallocate funds to the national teams' stint at the Southeast Asian Games.[2]
High performing of the 2011 edition of Batang Pinoy athletes shall undergo high-level training for three years in preparation for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China, and for other international age group competitions.
Qualification
There were five qualifying legs in five geographical regions (Mindanao, Visayas, Northern Luzon, National Capital Region, and Southern Luzon) where the winners of each leg gaining a berths at the final competition in Naga, Camarines Sur.
