The 2016–17 Oregon Ducks men's basketball team represents the University of Oregon during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Ducks are led by seventh year head coach Dana Altman. They play their home games at Matthew Knight Arena and are members of the Pac–12 Conference.
Previous season
The 2015-16 Oregon Ducks finished the season with an overall record of 31–7, and 14–4 in the Pac-12. In the Pac–12 Tournament, the Ducks made it to the Championship game where they win over Utah, 80-52. They received an auto-large bid in the NCAA Tournament as an 1-seed in the West Region for the first time in school's history. They defeated Holy Cross in the first round, then Saint Joseph's in the second round, then Duke in the Sweet Sixteen before losing to Oklahoma in the Elite Eight, 80-68.
