2K Play, Inc. is a Canadian video game developer based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, that primarily publishes family and budget-priced titles and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive. Before becoming 2K Play, this label was known as Global Star Software and published budget-priced titles. Global Star Software became 2K Play in 2007.
2K Play
On 10 September 2007 Take-Two Interactive announced that Global Star Software would become 2K Play and would publish family and budget-priced titles. On 2010, Take-Two Interactive and Nickelodeon made a deal which consisted on 2K Play publishing Nickelodeon series' like Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! through High Voltage Software and Black Lantern Studios independent studios'.[1] In 2012, 2K Play started developing and publishing mobile games like Turd Birds, Herd, Herd, Herd, and more.
