A Simple Story (Russian: Простая история) is a Soviet feature film directed by Yuri Yegorov in 1960.[1]
Plot
A woman lost her husband in the war, has dedicated his life to the farm. For honesty and uncompromising character, many disliked Sasha Potapova, however, was elected chairman of the collective farm. Unexpected love to the secretary of the District Committee Danilov made her life happy and difficult. The role of Sasha Potapova - image of solid, bright, memorable - was written specifically for Nonna Mordyukova given its creative and human destiny.[2][3]
