Aaron D. Ames is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering in Georgia Institute of Technology,[1] Atlanta, USA starting July 2015. Formerly, he was an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering in Texas A&M University, College Station, USA. He received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of California, Berkeley in 2006 under S. Shankar Sastry. He won the Donald P. Eckman Award[2] for his contributions in bipedal robotic research in 2015.
