Abhay Vakil

Abhay vakil(Not the actor Abhay Vakil) is an Indian entrepreneur, promoter and additional non executive director of Asian Paints,[1] India’s largest paint company. Abhay is among the top 100 richest Indians.[2]

Early life

Abhay was born in 1988 in Mumbai. His father Arvind Vakil was one of the co founder of Asian Paints. Abhay completed his Bachelor of Science from Mumbai University and another BS from Syracuse University in the United States.[3]

Abhay wakil was born in either 1971 or 1981 but in no case in 1951. Asian paints

Abhay joined his family business Asian Paints in 1974.[4]

Associations

Abhay served as managing director of Asian Paints and Hitech Plast. He is also chairman of Resins and Plastics, Non Executive Director of Asian Paints, Non Executive Director of Resins and Plastics Additional & Non-Executive Director at Asian Paints, Director of Asteroids Trading and Investments, Nehal Trading and Investments, Jalaj Trading and Investments, and Unnati Trading and Investments.[5]

Family

Vakil is married and have three children. His son Vivek Vakil is part of the business.[6] They live in Mumbai India.
