Acanthacris is a genus of African grasshoppers. It contains the following species:[1]
- Acanthacris aithioptera
- Acanthacris deckeni
- Acanthacris elgonensis
- Acanthacris ruficornis
Genus Acanthacris belongs to subfamily Cyrtacanthacridinae (W.F. Kirby, 1902),[2] which belongs to the same order (Orthoptera) as crickets (Gryllidae), locusts (Acrididae), katydids (Tettigoniidae), and other grasshoppers.
