Acharykulam is a school based on Vedic-cum-modern education near Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar. It is a residential educational institution.[1] It was inaugurated on 26 April 2013 by Narendra Modi, the then Chief Minister of Gujarat. This organization is jointly governed by Indian Yoga guru Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna.[2][3]

Accreditation

Based on Vedic-cum-modern education, Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust’s Acharyakulam Shikshan Sansthanam is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It offers education to students from grades 5th to 12th.[4] [5]

Purpose

Baba Ramdev’s main aim behind opening Acharyakulam is to promote Vedic education and Indian culture.[6] At present the number of English-medium schools has increased exponentially. In the society respect for each other has decreased. Keeping all this in mind Baba Ramdev established Acharyakulam. He believes this will not only protect Indian culture but it will also help in promoting of vedic knowledge to new generations of Indians. Ramdev's next aim is to establish Acharyakulam in every district of the country. It is not that only vedic education is given in acharyakulam, rather along with vedic and yoga education, student are also given the knowledge of modern education.[7][8]

How to get admission in Acharyakulam

The examination happens in January to get the admission in Acharyakulam.[9] The examination happens for the fifth class. The selected students are tested again for a week in Acharyakulam. 80 boys and 40 successful girls get the admission after that their further education continues till 10th standard.[10]

Baba Ramdev will do Educational Revolution

After Yoga revolution Baba Ramdev will do educational revolution. Ramdev has already established one such school - Aacharyakulam - in Haridwar and intends to set up its chain across the country.[11] Yoga Guru Ramdev has now decided to establish 600 schools in 600 districts across the country. Apart from Indian culture, Sanskrit, Yoga it will provide the education of modern science also.[12] [13][14][15]
