Sūrat al-Ḥujurāt (Arabic: سورة الحجرات, "The Chambers") is the 49th surah (chapter) of the Qur'an with 18 ayat.
This chapter was revealed in Medinia, with its title being a direct reference to the private suites or chambers of the Prophet and his family that were connected directly to the original structure of the Prophet's Mosque in Medina. It focuses on social etiquette among the Muslims and between the Muslims and the Prophet, and notably states that faith is proven through action, not words. [1]
