Alabama Democratic Conference

The Alabama Democratic Conference was an African American political league formed by the national Democratic party in an effort to bring newly registered blacks into the Democratic ranks. Many of its activists, such as John L. Cashin, Jr. later left the Alabama Democratic Party to form the National Democratic Party of Alabama.[1]
