Alan R. Schwartz
Alan R. Schwartz (born July 14, 1934) is an American lawyer and judge on the Florida Third District Court of Appeal.[1]
Background
He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 14, 1934. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1955 and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He subsequently received an LLB cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1958.
Judicial Service
He was appointed Circuit Judge by Governor Reubin Askew on April 18, 1973 and served in that capacity until 1978. In November 1978 he was appointed to Third District Court of Appeal by Governor Askew. He retired in 2004. He previously served as Chief Judge of the Third District Court of Appeal.
