Alfred Kunz (composer)
Alfred Leopold Kunz (born 26 May 1929 in Neudorf, Saskatchewan)[1] is a German-Canadian composer, conductor, and arts administrator .
Kunz privatelystudied composition and conducting in Toronto from 1949 to 1955. In 1965 he completed the state examinations in choral conducting at the Musikhochschule in Mainz and was assistant conductor of the Mainz City Opera Theatre. He began teaching in Kitchener, Ont, in 1955.[1]
Received a Doctor of Laws from the University of Waterloo on June 14, 2001.[2]
