Algerian Civil Defence
Civil Defence, commonly known as "firefighter" is often used in a sense encompassing all civil security service of the population. Civil protection is an emergency service that aims to support the population.
History
Two years after the Algeria independence in 1962, the National Algerian civil protection service is created on the initiative of President Ahmed Ben Bella and Decree number 64-129 of April 15, 1964. Administrative management and taking wage costs of firefighters were still under municipalities like in the colonial[1]

Missions
Emergency Preparedness is responsible for the protection of people, property and the environment. This concept of protection is very broad: it includes both emergency relief to victims of accidents, disasters or catastrophes and their evacuation to hospitals as the preparation of the safeguard measures and the organization of emergency resources , prevention, the fight against fire, and the prevention and assessment of risks to civil security.
The rescue persons (SAP)
This relief at home and in public places which represent the majority of interventions, relief on public roads: injured (s) on the public highway or in public places, drowning (s), accident (s) road traffic, rail, air or navigation. Home help: domestic accidents (falls, burns, suffocation, electrocution, drowning) or physical (bleeding, hart attack, psychological issues, sickness).
Fires
Residential fires, industrial fires, forest fires, etc.
The various and specialized interventions
Among the operations carried out by civil protection, the various interventions Unlock lifts, floods, risk of collapse, rescue animals, gas leakage ...).
