Alinta Energy is an American-owned[1] gas and electricity retailer with headquarters based in Sydney. It has over 800,000 residential, commercial and industrial energy customers.
In March 2011, due to a deleveraging transaction by the TPG Group, Alinta became Alinta Energy.[2]
