Alison Inverarity
Alison Jane Inverarity (born 12 August 1970 in Perth, Western Australia) is a former Australian Olympic and Commonwealth athlete, competing in the high jump. She was affiliated with the Western Australian Institute of Sport in Perth.
She is the Australian record holder with her jump of 1.98 m (6 ft 5 3⁄4 in) in 1994 (tying Vanessa Browne-Ward's 1989 mark).
Inverarity is the daughter of former Australian Test cricketer John Inverarity. She completed a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Western Australia. In 2000 she married Olympic teammate Scott Ferrier. She has two children, born in 2002 and 2004. Her daughter at the age of 12 jumped 1.50.
