Allia

For the genus of moth, see Allia (moth).

Allia, a stream flowing into the Tiber, is 18 kilometres (11 mi) from Rome and the site of the Battle of the Allia, where Romans were defeated by the Gauls under Brennus in 387 BC.[1] (Some date the battle in 364 or 390.)
