Alopoglossus is a genus of lizards endemic to tropical South America.[1]

The genus Alopoglossus contains the following seven valid species:[1]
- Alopoglossus angulatus (Linnaeus, 1758) = synonyms: Alopoglossus andeanus Ruibal, 1952; Alopoglossus amazonius Ruthven, 1924; Alopoglossus carinicaudatus (Cope, 1876)

- Alopoglossus buckleyi (O’Shaughnessy, 1881)
- Alopoglossus copii Boulenger, 1885
- Alopoglossus festae Peracca, 1904
- Alopoglossus lehmanni Ayala & Harris, 1984
- Alopoglossus viridiceps Torres-Carvajal & Lobos, 2014[2]
Nota bene: A binomial authority in parentheses indicates that the species was originally described in a genus other than Alopoglossus.
