Alpine High School is a public high school located in the city of Alpine, Texas (USA) and is classified as a 3A school by the UIL. It is a part of the Alpine Independent School District located in north central Brewster County. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.[2]

2016 shooting

On September 8, 2016, a female student shot and injured another student in a school hallway and then committed suicide in the bathroom. A Homeland Security officer who responded to the shooting was accidentally shot by a U.S. Marshal during the incident.[10]
