Andrew Boris
Andrew Boris or "Boris" is a morning radio personality in the Hudson Valley, New York. He was also the Program Director of WRRV since 1999. In January 2012, Boris became the program director of WPDH and is now currently the Host of The Boris & Robyn Show on 101.5 FM in Poughkeepsie and WPDH.com.[1]
College radio
Boris attended Marist College from 1990–1994 and was a DJ on the campus radio station, WMCR from 1991-1994. Boris produced a Thursday night program called "Off The Beaten Path" that featured music and interviews from many different genres. Some musicians that were interviewed included Shannon Hoon from Blind Melon and Matthew Sweet. Boris was Program Director of WMCR from 1993-1994.
96 Rock / Froggy 99.9
In the summer of 1993 Boris was hired as the overnight DJ for WOSC 96 Rock in Ocean City, MD. Within a week of his hire, 96 Rock was dismantled by Benchmark Communications to make room for a new country station, WWFG Froggy 99.9. Boris was hired to run the board for Froggy 99.9 and later hosted a live afternoon drive shift under the name "Jackson Leap". At the time, all DJ's on the station were given frog-themed names like "Bubba Bullfrog" and "Sally Salamander".

Initial job at WPDH
From 1993-1994, while still in college, Boris hosted a Saturday evening request show from 7pm to Midnight called "The Rock And Roll Roadhouse" on Classic Rock station WPDH in Poughkeepsie, NY. The show featured songs requested by listeners and some strange fake interviews with famous musicians, edited together from actual interviews. In one memorable interview, Boris was "attacked" by Eddie Money and thrown into a pinball machine. In addition to his weekly show, Boris was also an intern in the production department of WPDH. After college, Boris was hired as an assistant to the Production Director. His duties also included filling in for full-time on-air talent when they were on vacation or sick.
WRRV
In 1995 WEOK Broadcasting purchased 92.7 WKOJ in Middletown, NY and started an Alternative Rock station called WRRV. Boris was hired as the midday on-air personality from 10am - 3pm. On April 3, 1995 Boris was the very first DJ to kick off the new format for WRRV. His first words were "The Revolution is on, Hudson Valley", referring to the station's original slogan "The Rock Revolution". A few weeks later, the morning show was let go and Boris volunteered to fill in until they found a replacement. Eventually Boris was offered the job full-time and he has been hosting the show with various co-hosts ever since.
The morning show hosted by Boris between 1995 and 2012 was called "Music All Morning". While the show plays probably more music than the average morning show, it also features news and contests such as "Lame Ass Trivia" and the "Ass-Backward Song". On Friday January 6, 2012, Boris was named Times Herald Record's Radio Personality of the Year. On Monday, January 9, 2012, Boris announced on air that Friday, January 13, 2012 will be the last time he will be on the air for Music All Morning after 17 years. He had been promoted to program director at WPDH in addition to his current position as Program Director at WRRV he felt he could not do the morning show anymore.
