Arkansas Correctional School
Arkansas Correctional School (ACS) is the education system serving the Arkansas Department of Correction (ADC) prisons and the Arkansas Department of Community Correction (DCC) facilities.[1][2] The district opened in 1973 when Act 279 was passed by the Arkansas General Assembly.[3] The agency has its headquarters within the Pine Bluff Complex in Pine Bluff.[4][5]
Starting at the beginning of the 1997–98 school year, ADC inmates without high school diplomas and GEDs are required to take ACS classes.[6]
