Avsuyu is a town in the central district (Antakya) of Hatay Province, Turkey. It is situated on the north coast of Yarseli Dam reservoir at 36°12′N 36°19′E / 36.200°N 36.317°E. It is about 29 kilometres (18 mi)north east of Antakya. The population of Avsuyu was 4860 [1] as of 2012. Main crops of the town are olive, pepper, tobacco and cotton. There is an oil press in the town.[2]
