Babes is a major mainstream adult production studio, producing its eponymous pornographic website which focuses on glamcore pornography.

About

The Babes website was launched by Mindgeek in 2012.[3] The full-length videos are accessible to registered members. The website itself is considered important within glamcore pornography sector. Glamcore typically features aesthetically appealing models; the film set includes natural lighting and high-definition cinematic elements which sets it apart from traditional pornographic films. As of November 2016, the Babes website has a global traffic ranking of 11,441.[4]

Operations

Babes.com, along with several other well-known pornographic websites, is carefully run under the supervision of MindGeek so as to maintain legality within all aspects of production. The website ranks as the third most-accessed site of MindGeek's network of porn sites.[5] When Babes was originally created, Mindgeek was then-known as Manwin.[6]
The name change came shortly after managing partner, Fabian Thylman, stepped down. Thylman had first acquired the company after purchasing the assets from the original founders of Mansef.[7] In 2013, he sold his stakes to Feras Antoon and David Tassillo, the senior management of the company.[8] The company then merged with RedTube, a large porn tube site, thus creating MindGeek.[9]

There are currently four major websites operating under Babes which feature thematically different aspects in terms of settings and sexual preferences.[10]

Furthermore, the Babes network is categorised not only by themes and videos (like most pornographic websites), but also with profiles of the participating models and actresses in order to further emphasise the glamcore specialisation. .[11]
