The Baker-Devotie-Hollingsworth Block, also known as the Studio Building, is an historic building located in the East Village of Des Moines, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The boundaries for this property were expanded in 2008.[1]
History
The building was built in 1878 for George R. Baker.[2] It housed a variety business over the years. At the end on the 19th century it housed drug and grocery stores. After that it housed funeral parlors and furniture stores. The building is currently home to office and residential space.[2]
