Bakur Kvezereli is a Legatum Fellow. His research interest is in food system and e-commerce impact on global food supply chain.
Early years
Kvezereli was born on January 5, 1981 in Tbilisi, Georgia. 2014 he graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with M.S. degree. Prior in 2002 he received his B.A. in Information Economy from Georgian Technical University.
Career
Kvezereli worked on implementation of a number of initiatives concerning food security in developing countries. He served as Minister of Agriculture of Georgia from April, 2008 to October, 2011. His tenure in this post is associated with several reforms, food production diversification, and the promotion of agricultural products export to new markets.
