Benjamin Bolomey (1739 1819), was a Swiss painter.

Biography

He was born in Lausanne and after his education he worked in Paris until 1761 and then moved to the Hague where he became a member of the Confrerie Pictura in 1763.[1] He was court painter to William V, Prince of Orange and is known for portraits. In 1771 he became regent of the Confrerie, but in 1792 he returned to Lausanne.[1] He died in Lausanne.
