Governance
Black Gold Regional Division No.18 is governed by a Board of Trustees (also called a Board of Education). In Black Gold, there are 7 positions elected by public school taxpayers during municipal elections: two from the City of Leduc, one from the Town of Devon, one from the Town of Beaumont and one from each of the three rural wards (County Central, County East, County West). While elected from specific wards, trustees must represent the best interests of the entire Division.

BGRD’s Early French Immersion program is a highly effective way for students to become functionally fluent in French while achieving all of the objectives of a regular school program.
