Bobby Cox Companies

Bobby Cox Companies, Inc. is a multi-venture company based in Fort Worth, Texas. It was founded in 1961 by Bobby D. Cox, who is also the president of the company.[1] The company began with the creation of a coffee shop in Odessa, Texas and grew to the point of purchasing Schlotzsky's, Inc. in December 2004.[2][3] Today it has over 2,200 employees in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Missouri.

Having paid $28.5 million to purchase Schlotzsky's out of bankruptcy court, Bobby Cox Companies, Inc. sold Schlotzsky's to the Atlanta-based Focus Brands Inc. in 2006.[4]

Today the company controls three Texas-based restaurant chains: Rosa's Cafe, Texas Burger, and Taco Villa.[5]
