Boletus hypocarycinus is a species of bolete fungus in the family Boletaceae. Found in North America, it was described as new to science in 1945 mycologist Rolf Singer.[1] The bolete was reported from a Mexican beech (Fagus mexicana) forest in Hidalgo, Mexico in 2010.[2]
