Booroobin is a locality split between the Moreton Bay Region and the Sunshine Coast Region in Queensland, Australia.[2][3] At the 2011 Australian Census Booroobin and surrounds recorded a population of 292.[1]
Booroobin is the source of the Stanley River and the Mary River. A section of Bellthorpe National Park is in the south east of the locality.
Demographics
In the 2011 census, Booroobin recorded a population of 292 people, 44.2% female and 55.8% male.[1] The median age of the Booroobin population was 45 years, 8 years above the national median of 37. 73.9% of people living in Booroobin were born in Australia. The other top responses for country of birth were England 6.1%, New Zealand 3.7%, Finland 1.4%, Lebanon 1%, Hungary 1%. 90.8% of people spoke only English at home; the next most common languages were 1.4% Hungarian, 1% Croatian, 1% Italian.[1]
