Brian Fleck (MSc, PhD) (born 1966 or 1967) is a former host of CBC Television's The Nature of Things and Project X.^[3] He currently works as professor and Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta.^[4] His research specializations are fluid dynamics, mixing and turbulence, multiphase flow, and atomization and renewable energy.

He ran as a candidate for provincial government in the riding of Edmonton-Whitemud in 2004 and as of 2015 is running for federal government in the riding of Edmonton Riverbend.
