Bryan Herb (born in Forest Grove, Oregon in 1973) is a gay travel TV personality and Board Chair of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association, as well as the co-owner of Zoom Vacations, a gay tour company based in the United States.[1]

Career

Bryan attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and majored in English Writing and Public Relations.[2]

Bryan Herb was a high school English Teacher in Houston, Texas as part of the Teach For America program and then later in New York City. While living in New York, he also worked as a personal trainer, model, actor, and freelance writer. He then moved to Chicago and took a job as a marketing and special events manager for Hotel 71. The tragedy of September 11, and it motivated him to start a Zoom Vacations, a gay vacation company. He became Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association in 2008 and was re-elected in 2009.[3]

Herb was one of three travel experts featured on nine episodes of the Travel Channel's show, "Vacation Challenge". In 2007 he was the South America Gay Travel expert for Bump!, a gay and lesbian travel show. In 2009, Comcast Cable in Chicago selected Herb as their on-air gay travel host.[4]

He is the gay travel expert for several gay online and print publications including ChicagoPride.com and away.com.[5]
