CASM CK-GY UAVs are Chinese UAVs developed by Beijing Ceke Spatial Info-tech Co., Ltd. (北京测科空间信息技术有限公司) of Chinese Academy of Surveying and Mapping (CASM, 中国测绘科学研究院), and many of which has entered service with Chinese law enforcement and governmental establishments. CK = Ce Ke (测科), a Chinese abbreviation of Ce-Hui Ke-Xue (测绘科学), which means Surveying and Mapping Science.
CK-GY01
CK-GY01 is a fixed wing micro air vehicle (MAV) with trapezoid shaped wing, but without any tailplans. Propoulsion is provided by a two-blade propeller driven electric motor mounted in the nose.[1] CK-GY01 utilizes commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) airframe produced by other domestic Chinese UAV manufacturers, which is integrated with domestic Chinese software indigensouly developed by CASM specially for aerial survey missions. Specification:[2]
- Payload (kg): 1
- Length (m): 1.5
- Wingspan (m): 2
- Endurance (h): 1
- Launch: catapult
- Recovery: parachute
- Normal operating radius (km): 40
- Remote control: Futaba
- Autopilot: UP20
- Fuel capacity (L): 1
- Max wind allowed for operation (m/s): 3.4 – 5.4
- Cruise speed (km/h): 100
- Max speed (km/h): 120
- Normal operating altitude (km): 1
CK-GY02
CK-GY02 is a octocopter developed by CASM. This UAV has a rather rare look in comparison to other Chinese octocopters: instead of having eight equal length arms positioned to form an invisible circle like most Chinese octocopters, the eight arms of CK-GY02 forms an invisible square instead, because arms in diagonal position are longer.[1] Specification:[2]
- Payload (kg): 2
- Length (m): 1.7
- Wingspan (m): 2.4
- Endurance (h): 1 – 1.5
- Launch: catapult or taxiing
- Recovery: parachute
- Normal operating radius (km): 60
- Remote control: Futaba
- Autopilot: UP20
- Fuel capacity (L): 1
- Max wind allowed for operation (m/s): 3.4 – 5.4
- Cruise speed (km/h): 80 – 120
- Max speed (km/h): 130
- Normal operating altitude (km): 2.5
CK-GY03
CK-GY03 is a fixed wing UAV in conventional layout with high wing configuration. Propulsion is provided by a propeller driven tractor engine mounted in the nose.[1] Specification:[2]
- Payload (kg): 5
- Length (m): 1.95
- Wingspan (m): 2.84
- Endurance (h): 1.5 – 2
- Launch: catapult
- Recovery: recovery
- Normal operating radius (km): 80
- Remote control: Futaba
- Autopilot: UP20
- Fuel capacity (L): 1
- Max wind allowed for operation (m/s): 5.5 – 7.9
- Cruise speed (km/h): 90 – 120
- Max speed (km/h): 130
- Normal operating altitude (km): 3.5
CK-GY04 series
CK-GY06
CK-GY06 (also known as CK-YY06) is a high altitude, long-endurance aerial survey / photography UAV in conventional layout with low wing configuration and tricycle landing gear. Propulsion is provided by a three-blade propeller driven tractor engine mounted in the nose. CK-GY06 utilizes COTS airframe produced by other domestic Chinese UAV manufacturers, which is integrated with domestic Chinese software indigensouly developed by CASM specially for aerial survey missions. The COTS airframe is GAIC Harrier Hawk I developed by Guizhou Aircraft Industry Corporation (GAIC), and hence CK-GY06 is also called CK-YY06, with YY is the abbreviation for Yao Ying (鹞鹰) in Chinese, meaning Harrier Hawk, which is the name of the original COTS platform.[3] Specification:[4]
- Length (m): 6
- Wingspan (m): 10
- Payload (kg): 50
- Endurance (h): 12
- Launch: taxiing or catapult
- Recovery: taxiing
- Normal operating radius (km): 900
- Remote control system: Domestic Chinese built
- Autopilot: Domestic Chinese built
- Max wind speed allowed for operation (m/s): 8 – 10.7
- Construction: Aluminum skin semi-rigid
- Max speed (km/h): 230
- Cruise speed (km/h): 150 – 190
- Ceiling (km): 7.5
