The Center for Indian Classical Music of Houston (CICMH) is a non- profit 501 (c)(3) organization founded by Pandit Suman Ghosh to spearhead the cause of Indian Classical music in the Western Hemisphere.

History

Pandit Suman Ghosh, founded CICMH, with a goal of making the treasure of Indian Classical Music accessible to and be a part of everyday life for every individual, because of its sheer ability to elevate the quality of life for anybody, irrespective of one’s background, lifestyle or occupation. He brought this effort to USA in 2000, laid the foundation for it and established the Center for Indian Classical Music of Houston (CICMH) in the year 2008, to spearhead the cause of this music in its purest form.

Activities

Greater Houston Area has seen many conceptually novel events in the field of Classical Music, organized by CICMH. Saadhana Pariwar, the Gurukul of CICMH offers music learners the unique and extraordinary opportunity to learn directly from a Maestro and one of the most revered Music Gurus in the field - experiencing pearls of his musical wisdom, knowledge and mastery. CICMH provides them with various unique platforms to showcase the results of their “Saadhana” (disciplined and dedicated practice or learning). A few of them are-
