Forming a good understanding with strike partner Leon Clarke, after just 11 league games Wilson had notched up 10 goals, topping the League One scoring charts. He finished the season as League One's third-top scorer with 22 goals and also earned himself a place in the League One PFA Team Of The Year, All the more impressive as he had suffered injury for two months with a dislocated shoulder in early 2014.
