Caloptilia cecidophora is a moth of the Gracillariidae family. It is known from Japan (Honshū, Kyūshū and the Ryukyu Islands).[2]
The wingspan is about 12 mm.
The larvae feed on Glochidion obovatum. They probably mine the leaves of their host plant. They make a gall upon the upper side of the leaves of the host plant, along the vein.
