Captain Underpants and the Tyrannical Retaliation of the Turbo Toilet 2000 is a novel by Dav Pilkey[1] and the eleventh (and penultimate) book in the Captain Underpants series. It was published on August 26, 2014, and features the second and final speaking appearance of the Turbo Toilet 2000, as well as the first appearances of George and Harold's, day-older duplicates born through time travel, Yesterday George and Yesterday Harold, as well as the four's new pets and Crackers and Sulu's offspring, Dawn, Orlando, and Tony, who are hybrids between a bionic hamster and a pterodactyl, and the term 'hamsterdactyl' is coined towards the end of the book to describe their species.

Plot

The kickball that one of Wedgie Woman's robots kicked into outer space back in book #5, is heading for Uranus. It finally hits the planet where the Robo-Plunger and the Talking Toilets are, knocking the Robo-Plunger's head off with a mighty blow and making the robot juice leak out into the Turbo Toilet 2000's mouth. The giant commode comes to life and decides to retaliate so he can avenge his fallen allies. He builds a rocket scooter from the parts of the Incredible Robo-Plunger and flies back to Earth. In the original universe, the huge ensuing destruction disrupts one of Melvin's experiments, which causes Melvin to yell at him to be quiet. Angered, the Turbo Toilet 2000 chases Melvin all the way over to the school, where Melvin finds one of Mr. Krupp's recently clipped-off toenails from the day before. He gets the idea of extracting it into DNA and transferring Mr. Krupp (Captain Underpants)'s superpowers to himself. He ends up doing so and defeating the Turbo Toilet 2000, once again becoming 'Big Melvin'. Before long, Big Melvin is flying around town and fighting crime as a superhero. But soon, people start calling him and interrupting his science experiments for trivial and unimportant things such as losing their cellphones or for advice if certain pants make people look fat. After one year, Melvin finally has had enough, and decides to locate his bionic hamster Sulu in order to give George and Harold the responsibility of defeating the Turbo Toilet 2000. He finds Sulu's signal in the future and uses the Robo-Squid suit to travel to George and Harold.

After returning Captain Underpants to his home and turning him back into Mr. Krupp again, the exhausted George and Harold return home and try to nap. However, as a result of their escape from Tippy Tinkletrousers in book #10, they end up missing a full day of school, so they are punished by their parents and forced to do five hours of yard work. Although both of them are exhausted, George realizes that they have a full day of testing the next day, and they are forced to stay up all night to study. In the morning, both of them fall asleep in their tree house, causing them to miss their tests and get zeros on all their big tests. While George barely manages to get a passing final grade, Harold's grade is failing, and much to the glee of the teachers, he must repeat the fourth grade, which means that it will separate the two boys in school.

Determined to fix the situation, George asks Harold for permission to use Melvin's Robo-Squid suit to travel back in time in hopes that they can take the tests. However, when they return to their tree house, they realize that they have accidentally created time travel duplicates of themselves, formerly called the Yesterday Bros., a reference to the Yesterday Brothers. After some confusion, George comes with the idea for the time travel duplicates and them to switch off every other day. The original George and Harold spend their first night watching monster movies and eating junk food, but in the process run out of food the next morning. In order to get the money they need, they decide to make a new comic book: "The Adventures of Super Diaper Baby 2.5". They head to the school, but they are caught every time by Ms. Anthrope at the principal's office. George is able to convince her that she is dreaming by pointing out that they are actually in class (in reality, their yesterday versions). Ms. Anthrope doesn't believe them at all and contacts Ms. Ribble, who also tell her the same thing; however, then she tells Ms. Ribble to send them to the office, only to realize that she has seen two versions of George and Harold. Unfortunately, Ms. Anthrope then takes off her clothes and begins running around the school. George and Harold are confronted by Yesterday George and Yesterday Harold, and are warned to stay out of the school.

Annoyed by their other sides, George and Harold deliberately disobey their twins and decide to pull some pranks. In doing so, all of the teachers in the entire school begin acting crazy in a manner similar to Ms. Anthrope when they see the two versions of the boys. Every staff member in the school is arrested by the police for several various reasons (public nudity, pantsing a police officer, etc.), while Mr. Krupp is sent to an insane asylum due to the state he is left in when he sees that there are two Georges and Harolds.

After two weeks, the Turbo Toilet 2000 flies down on his rocket scooter down to Earth, just like in the original universe. The Georges and Harolds run to the asylum to try to get to Mr. Krupp, but after having been unsuccessful, the group take some cardboard boxes and outdoor grills to create talking toilet disguises. George and Harold climb in the disguises, which fools the Turbo Toilet 2000, and manage to convince him to break down the wall of the asylum. With the snap of every finger, George then turned Mr. Krupp back into Captain Underpants, who prepared to fight against the Turbo Toilet 2000. Captain Underpants ends up winning the fight, but after the Turbo Toilet starts crying and his giant tears falls on his head, he turns back into Mr. Krupp once again. After being grabbed by the Turbo Toilet, Mr. Krupp decides to direct the planetary privy towards George and Harold's treehouse, where Yesterday George and Yesterday Harold are. After making it there, the Turbo Toilet opens his mouth and swallows Mr. Krupp whole, and then proceeds to ram the base of the treehouse. In the chaos, Cracker's eggs fall to the ground with a sonic boom and a terrible "CRASH!" As Yesterday George and Yesterday Harold sift through the broken eggshell fragments, they discover that Cracker's children are half-pterodactyl, half-hamster. The Turbo Toilet grabs Yesterday George and Harold, but the hamster-pterodactyl children save them by lifting the Turbo Toilet up, and shattering him with a deafening "KA-BLAMMO". Mr. Krupp, having been protected by his super powers, is soon arrested.

George, Harold, Yesterday George, and Yesterday Harold regroup and come up with names for the hamster-pterodactyls. Yesterday Harold comments that it was a satisfying ending, but George points out all the loose ends in the story (the city being destroyed, the teachers in jail, etc.). The group realize that this means another sequel is coming out, and they end the story by collectively shouting out their titular cries of "OH, NO!" and "Here we go again!"

One day, at the Hoskins's house, the television news announces that Petey the Cat had escaped from prison, and had vowed to get revenge on Super Diaper Baby and Diaper Dog. Mr. Hoskins explains that they must look out for Petey the Cat, but two seconds later, the doorbell rings. The person at the door introduces himself as P.T. Duckhat, the world's most famous clown (which is Petey the cat in disguise). He asks Mr. Hoskins if Billy and Diaper Dog can participate in his parade, which he replies "yes" to without a second thought. P.T. Duckhat takes Billy and Diaper Dog to a big float of Super Diaper Baby (later to be the Robo-Baby) and they get in the parade begins. Everything goes just fine until P.T. Duckhat takes off his costume and tells everyone that he is Petey the Cat. The Robo-Baby destroys the city with Super Diaper Baby and Diaper Dog, who are now stuck in the powerful grip of the Robo-Baby. Meanwhile, Dog Man (half dog, half cop) runs up the leg of the Robot and scratches himself. Soon, Dog Man's fleas get in the Robo-Baby's Diaper. The fleas make the Robot leave and they took Petey to Jail.
