Carlos A. Mannucci is a football club, playing in the city of Trujillo, Peru in the department of La Libertad.
The club has a long rivalry with Alfonso Ugarte, and matches between the two teams are known as "el Clásico Trujillano".
Rivalries
Mannucci and Alfonso Ugarte have a great rivalry, but also during the late 1960s and the 1970s when both teams represented Trujillo in the national stage and fought to have the preference of the fans from Trujillo. Alfonso Ugarte came out victorious during the first edition of the Copa Perú and Mannucci did it during the second and third, but "los Carlistas" continued in professional football long after Alfonso Ugarte was relegated.
After the club's relegation in 2014, the rivalry between the two teams was renewed with big league games played to packed stadiums. Alfonso Ugarte's little investment in recent years has undermined the traditional power and expectation "el Clásico Trujillo."
