Characters from the past/in the mythology
As well as characters we have seen in The New Tomorrow, there have been mentions and representations of other people and characters.
Bray
The "Ants" worship Bray. Throughout Series 1-3 of "The Tribe" Bray is one of the focus characters fighting to build a new world and restore order to the City. He is taken by The Techno's at the beginning of Series 4, when his girlfriend Amber gives birth to his son. Amber decided to name the baby Bray, after his dad, and so the memory lived on.
Zoot
In the Ants mythology, Zoot is the evil to Bray's good. They believe that all the problems faced in the past: the technology, the machines, the darkness and the Great Wandering; were all brought about by Zoot. In the Ants story, Zoot was represented as an exaggerated form of how he looked in The Tribe. The name of Zoot is also known to both The Barbs and The Privs.
The character of Zoot, played by Danny James, appeared only in the first few episodes of series one of The Tribe. He was leader of The Locos and died shortly after seeing his daughter, Brady, for the first time. The Mall Rat Trudy, was the mother of Brady. Various incarnations of the Zoot did appear throughout all five series' however. These included virtual reality visions via the Paradise headsets and an artificial intelligence version.
