Chen Mingyi (Taiwan)

For a Mainland Chinese politician with the same name, see Chen Mingyi.

Chen Mingyi (Chinese: 陳明義) is a former city councillor for New Taipei, Taiwan. He is also a member of Kuomintang’s Central Standing Committee.[1] It was reported that he would participate in the 2014 New Taipei City mayoral election.[2] However, Kuomintang eventually chose Eric Chu as their candidate for mayor of New Taipei.

In the Taiwan local elections, 2014, Chen failed to get re-elected.[3][4] He registered for the 2016 Kuomintang chairmanship election on January 27,[5] but dropped his bid for the leadership two days later.[6][7]
