Chow Yei-ching, GBS, OBE, is the chairman and managing director of Chevalier International Holdings, an international conglomerate, comprising property and hotel management, engineering, construction, insurance, investments, information technology, food/beverage, and car dealership businesses. The Group holds two publicly listed companies in Hong Kong – Chevalier International Holdings, Ltd. and Chevalier Pacific Holdings, Ltd. and one publicly listed company in Singapore – Chevalier Singapore Holdings, Ltd. In 2001, Dr Chow was appointed Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Hong Kong.

Personal life

Dr Y C Chow was born in Ningbo. His wife, Miyakawa Michiko, is of Japanese descent, and they have seven children. His son-in-law is Cantonese actor Carlo Ng. They currently reside in Hong Kong as the main headquarters of Chevalier International Holdings is based in Hong Kong. Dr Y C Chow is an advent supporter of education, especially educating and inspiring the youth. His way of giving back to his community is by regularly donating money to universities, especially local ones, and by also being a guest speaker at conferences to promote education and inspire the youth of our generation.

Public Service

Dr Chow Yei-Ching has also donated money to multiple universities in Hong Kong and China in hopes of advocating the importance of education to the public. His donations to universities in Hong Kong include City University of Hong Kong, The University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
