The pale-bellied tapaculo (Scytalopus griseicollis), also known as the matorral tapaculo or rufous-bellied tapaculo, is a species of bird in the Rhinocryptidae family It is found in Bolivia, Colombia, and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
Taxonomy
- The Cundinamarca tapaculo (Scytalopus infasciatus) is sometimes split from this species.
- The Lara tapaculo (Scytalopus fuscicauda) is sometimes split from this species.
