Connell McShane (born August 4, 1977, Long Island, New York) is the news anchor on Imus in the Morning, since May 2011, after succeeding Charles McCord. McShane has also anchored Fox Business Network since October 2007, co-hosting "Markets Now" with Dagen McDowell. He formerly co-anchored the network's early-morning program, Fox Business Morning, alongside Jenna Lee through May 2010.
Biography
Since 2007, McShane has spent time covering the financial crisis, providing live reports from the scene when Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers collapsed. He's also reported on the rise of China from Shanghai and Beijing, and covered the European debt crisis from Dublin, Ireland. Prior to joining FBN, McShane worked at Bloomberg Television where he served as a news reporter/anchor, working on "Evening Edition", "On the Markets", and "Marketweek". He also filed live broadcast reports from the NYSE and NASDAQ. Before working at Bloomberg, he co-anchored the syndicated morning show, The First Word, on Bloomberg Radio.
Education
McShane is a graduate of Fordham University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies.
