The Cornell International Affairs Review (CIAR) is a biannual peer-reviewed student-run academic journal published by Cornell University. It covers studies of international relations, international trade and finance, human rights, diplomacy, culture, public health and technology, geopolitics, and development and was established in 2007. The CIAR "seeks to provide a nonpartisan society and forum dedicated to the study of international relations in an increasingly globalized world."
Executive board
The CIAR has an executive board that oversees the immediate administrative and executive operations of the journal. The board is composed of a president and editor-in-chief, executive vice president, managing editor, vice president of finance, vice president of publication, vice president of public relations, vice president of global networking, and a secretary. Many of these positions preside over departments in the organization; current departments include an editing staff, finance staff, publications staff, and global networking staff. There is also an associate staff, who hold the positions of Cornell-submission editor, abroad-submission editor, layout editor, and webmaster.
