Cornus, Sardinia
Cornus was the site of a Nuragic town in Sardinia [1]and was subsequently the location of a battle between the Nuragic people and the Roman empire. The Carthaginians were also involved fighting against the Romans. The town is now unoccupied and is an archaeological site with a large well temple[2] complex still visible.
