Credins Bank was etablished in Albania in March 31, 2003[1] as the first private bank with Albanian capital. The head office is located in Tirana.
At the end of 2015, the Bank has a network of 56 branches and 63 ATM totaling around 120 locations all over Albania.[2] The bank is today the third largest bank in the country.
History
2003 Credins bank opened its first office iin rruga Ismail Qemali, in march of this year, and later opened two agencies in Tirana and Durrës. The bank had a staff of 25 people
2004 started to offer American Express travelers check and expanded with 7 more branches. At the end of 2014, the number of customers reached 12.000 and the staff 55.
2005 Credins Bank signed a cooperation agreement with Monte Paschi di Siena in Italy to improve remittances services for the Albanian emigrants in Italy . Branches reached 12, the staff 113 and the customers 25.000.
2006 The Bank started offering internet banking. Branches reached 17, staff 170 and customers 36.740
2007 The Bank became acquirer and issuer of Visa Card in Albania . Branches reached 25,customers 45.724.
2008 Credins Bank celebrates its 5th anniversary with two new shareholders Financial Sector Equity Holding B.V. (BFSE Holding B.V.) represented by Development Financial Equity Partners (DFE) and SECO represented by Swiss Investment Fund for Emerging Markets (SIFEM AG). Branches 26, staff 386 and customers 73.402
2009 Credins Bank signs a loan agreement with European Fund for South East Europe (EFSE). Branches 32, staff, customers 93.098.
2010 Credins banks ranks 5th biggest bank in Albania, it gets its license Gold trading, signs an agreement with the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank.
It receives the Award "The most innovative bank of the year" by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana.
2012 Credins Bank launches for the first time in the country the prepaid Visa Card. Branches 47, customers 182.000.
2013 Credins Bank signs an agreement with IFC (Agreement with IFC supports renewable energy sector in Albania with a loan of 10 million Euros)
2014 Credins Bank was awarded with the national price of philanthropy from “Partners Albania” for “Considerable and impactful social contribution in the community life , to specially mention health, education, art and culture”.
