Crosscountry (series)

Crosscountry is an educational simulation software series of programs for children ages 10-12 (grade four through grade seven). The series was created to teach North American children about their states, provinces, and territories. The Crosscountry Series includes Crosscountry USA, Crosscountry Canada, Crosscountry USA 2, Crosscountry Canada 2, Crosscountry USA Photo Safari, Crosscountry Canada Photo Safari, Crosscountry BC and is published by Ingenuity Works, a Vancouver-based company. The player will drive an 18-wheeler around their country to pick up and deliver commodities to the cities assigned while making decisions about the best route, when to eat, fill up gas, etc.

Crosscountry USA

This was the first game in the series, released in 1985 by Didatech Software. Educational Software Reviews deemed it "the type of game you can play for a full hour without getting tired."[1]

Crosscountry Canada

This was the second game in the series, released in 1991 by Didatech Software.[2] MyAbandonHardware deemed it "One of the best edutainment titles ever made".[3]

Crosscountry USA 2

The game was released in 2002, by Ingenuity Works.[4]

Making wise decisions along the way will result in a successful trip. It features different large cities throughout Canada, and is an on-rails driving game.

This game was released in 2002, by Ingenuity Works. The game is "much like Crosscountry USA 2 but with a focus on animals rather than commodities".[5]

This game was released in 2002, by Ingenuity Works. The game is "much like Crosscountry Canada 2 but with a focus on animals rather than commodities".[6]

Crosscountry BC

This game was released in 2002, by Ingenuity Works. Disparate to the title, players of this game specifically are restricted to the boundaries of the Canadian province of British Columbia.
