Crossing Rubicon is an American heavy metal band from Bristol, Connecticut. The band began in 2010 and has had several lineup changes since its original formation. They have released one album, No Less Than Everything (2016). The band is signed to the label Pavement Entertainment, under which they released their first album.[1]
They are described as having taken influence from several 1980s and 90s heavy metal bands with a modern edge.[2] They cite bands like Judas Priest, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, and Iron Maiden as influences. Since then, they have filled in as an opening act for Motley Crue.[3][4] The band has also played shows with Mushroomhead and Carnivora.[5]
History
No Less Than Everything and lineup changes (2010-present)
The band began in 2010 with its current singer, Scotty Anarchy, and Pete Ahern. Soon after Brandi Hood, Zack Lambert, and Jeff Miles joined as their drummer, guitarist, and bassist respectively. Peter Ahern left the band and was temporarily filled in for by Rob Dolan of Dirty Blonde and Hot Mess. In 2011, Matt Douglas joined and was later replaced by Jesse Near as guitarist. Eventually bassist Jeff Miles was replaced with Steven Riccio.[6] Later in 2013, another lineup change occurred with new bassist Steven Riccio being replaced with the current bassist Jeanne Sagan, ex-All That Remains.[7] Finally, guitarist Matt Douglas was replaced by current guitarist Jesse Near.
In 2016, the band released their first album, No Less Than Everything, under the label Pavement Entertainment.[2]
